What is the Application Timeline and Important Application Deadlines?

Quest has a rolling application process, with priority given to completed applications turned in by the grade-level deadlines listed below. Applications submitted after the deadlines will be given consideration based on availability.

Please keep in mind that the majority of the open seats occur in Kindergarten and 6th grade.

Important Dates & Deadlines

• Friday, November 1, 2024: Applications for the 2025-2026 school year become available online.
• Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM: Grades K-8 Applications due.
  Completed applications for grades K-8 are due to the APS Office of Advanced Academics and Gifted Services, by 3:00 p.m. Applications turned in after the deadline will be placed on the application waitlist. Applications must include two self addressed stamped envelopes.

Cognitive Testing & Screening

• Cognitive testing, by appointment, for all potential incoming kindergarten students.
• Testing, by appointment, for students in grades 1-8 who have not had cognitive testing completed at their current school.
• Saturday, January 11, 2025: Additional screening for qualified kindergarten applicants (students with a full-scale cognitive score of 84%ile or above). Families of qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule a time for the additional screening.
  

Notification of Acceptance

• Monday, February 3, 2025: Notification (accepted or wait-listed) letters will be sent to parents. Notification dates subject to change.

Please note that Registration for 2025-26 school year will take place during April-May of 2025.
